From looking at the picture below, one of the first things you will notice about the Toshiba Folio 100 is that the screen is a high gloss. While this high gloss is common for tablets and hand held PCs that is one difference between tablets and other eReaders. Many of the straight eReaders have a mat or non-glare screen to make reading easier. The gloss screen of a table pc makes for brighter sharper pictures and graphics but does mean at times you have to angle the screen a little to remove a glare point.
The onboard 1.3 M webcam is located over the screen in the middle of the table. The webcam works well with applications like Skype. There are 4 touch controls on the right side of the screen, these controls (from the top down) take you to a touch screen keypad, a back button, the home screen, or brings up a settings control panel on the bottom of the screen.

Folio 100 Imput Ports
Going from left to right you will find the 10volt dc power port, the earphone jack, the HDMI port, the USB 2.0 port, the mini USB port and the SDHC card port. The Toshiba folio 100 can take a SD SDHC card of up to 32 GB.
Volume and Power Switches
As shown the Folio 100 has an external volume button sitting next to the power switch on the top right hand side of the tablet.
Folio 100 Docking port
The docking port is primarily for the Folio 100 TV kit. At this point I haven’t seen any other accessories that use this port although there may be some in the works for the future.
Removing the rear Cover
Taking off the rear cover gives you access to the battery and also, when you look at the picture you will see a green circuit board. This is where you put a SIMMs card in to give you direct internet access from a cell phone provider.
